Architecture

pidan's headquarters is located on the banks of Suzhou Creek in Shanghai, within the historic Fuxin No. 3 Flour Mill. Built in 1926, the building once belonged to the Rong family and was the largest integrated flour mill in China during the 1930s. Today, it stands as a remarkable piece of China's industrial history.

In 2018, the building was recognised as part of the China Industrial Heritage Protection List, celebrating its enduring cultural and historical significance.

Movie (Selected for the 75th Cannes Film Festival)

For pidan's first brand film, acclaimed director Bi Gan created A Short Story—a modern fairy tale about love.

The reason people need cats is that they have a remarkable ability to transform the sadness that can quietly arise in moments of solitude into a sense of calm and quiet beauty. Put more simply, perhaps it can be said like this: people need cats.

Music

pidan's first branded album, Chill with Cats, brings together musicians from across the pop, hip-hop, electronic, jazz, and R&B genres to create music inspired by life with cats.

Inspired by the distance between the Earth and the Moon, the album artwork and physical packaging symbolise music playing on Earth as we look up at the Moon together with our feline companions.

Café

sorry dog is pidan's café brand, built around the philosophy of being "more cat-friendly." It offers a welcoming and comfortable space where people and their pets can relax together, allowing you to enjoy a quality cup of coffee while spending time with your furry companion.

Crossover

pidan collaborated with fashion brand HEADACHE to launch the “Human & Cat Gift Box.” Inspired by pidan’s “cats first” brand philosophy, the designer used cat fur as the central design element, reimagining it as a print across black T-shirts, caps, and hats for small animals.

Through this creative approach, cat fur is transformed from something to be brushed away into something to be kept. The traces of fur left on clothing become a gentle reminder of the intimate moments shared between people and their cats.
